How did the cop who fired know he was being fired upon by a tazer? All he probably saw was a flash of light. Was it even his tazer or his partners? We can see,from the side, it was a flash but what could he see? Maybe he thought he was being fired upon by a gun therefore the shooting would have been justified and all this is just a show. Guy shouldn't have been out drinking and driving in the first place. He shouldn't have resisted arrest. He shouldn't have grabbed the officers tazer. He shouldn't have run. He shouldn't have beaten the officers. He shouldn't have fired upon the officer. Lots of "Shouldn't s" led to a terrible place.
I can see why the police are ill with the flu. Who has their backs?

Whatever it took to arrest the man. Whatever it took. If the guy did use the stun gun and hit the cop what would have stopped him from then grabbing the cops real gun and executing both of the officers. It's a job and no job is worth being killed over. I dont think the officer intended to kill him, they were running for god sakes, adrenaline has kicked in, and we are all supposed to believe it was intentional after the long and respectful initial confrontation?? His partner and the other two cops on the scene....
