Has anyone here been hearing loud bangs similar to fireworks or gunfire?

I am in the 818 So. Cal SFV it has been happening here for a couple of months shots fired, large explosions and large mortars fire works. no one knows why but it is from before sunset started a few hours ago, till 1-2 am from every direction some near by but everywhere.

Yes. Just like that. Have heard some friends complaining about fireworks when they are trying to go to bed. They live on the other side of town and heard it on a different night then I did so it seems strange.

Yes I have also heard them. And wondered what the heck thought maybe fireworks but it sometimes sounds like gun shots or m80s not for sure I haven't heard sirens or anything on news I live in Peirce county Washington State

there is about an .01% chance its fireworks. Theres no way fireworks could be coordinated around the same time every night and multi directional... not to mention the fact they are extremely varied in loudness.

it sounds like a firework yet doesnt right? its like a combination of firework/gunfire/m80. They sound distinct.

Nothing here but thunder and rain and the bears are making a mess here.
We cannot harm the bears even though we can run them off, one we run off and the other we do not since it does not make such a mess here.

Other than that and a young fellow ridding his mini-bike up until about 10pm.
Nothing else making noise, sirens not included.

Yes. My family believed it to be a small cannon.

The sound would occur every minute. Sometimes exactly 1 minute intervals. Different times of day but mostly starting around 5pm and going into the night.

One time it sounded like it changed directions but the intensity was roughly the same.

We haven't heard it for 3 days now. Been going on for about 2 weeks before it stopped.

My estimate is about 5 miles into a deeply wooded area. There are very few people living in the area and it is a hunting camp.

I'm concerned because I went down the only possible road in our area that the sound could originate and found no signs of a cannon.

I'm still in the process of asking other locals about the sound. Hopefully it is just a cannon and not an earthquake precursor.

This happens every year in my area a few weeks before the 4th of July. Mexicans love their illegal fireworks. They do it every night.

I have thats exactly what I thought M80 or idk cannon like sound when it happened a few times I just thought fireworks it was daytime here though it was odd never found out what it was so funny you mention it because your description describes it perfectly.

Funny you mention that..there have been some really loud booms here the past couple weeks.
