Government here gave us the option, Google did not. Can't even remove it.

All those ppl with car's that use blue tooth for calls and GPS are traced.

Those settings have been there for weeks, if not months. They either appeared via an update in the early months of 2020 (or potentially very late 2019), or when my phone oddly told me that it had to alter the timezone settings (for whatever weird reason they needed to do that).

Well, their stingy greedy selves, screwed theirself because my memory is full.

I've opted out of downloading a HMS Core update on my Honor phone, it has it listed as "COVID tracking" something something in plain, open text. No thank you Huawei.

Here Android 2.3.6 from 10+ years ago all the way. Tight control over every drop of internal memory, even with Link2SD workaround and 500MB hidden extension.

I have it too but says it's not working because my bluetooth is deactivated. "Please activate your bluetooth". Me: No thanks.

Grab the app called Package Disabler Pro and switch off bluetooth with it and any other shit, if you search for update in the app u can turn updates off as well, it will still show pending updates, but when you click on it nothing happens.

Yet I can use wifi in airplane mode?

OP, you are correct!! Go to the 0:31 mark in this video. It tells you precisely where to go into your phone settings. I checked using these directions from PayDroV. Sure enough my phone is now infected with the COVID-19 Contact Tracing BS.

Since the phone os needs a software app to collect and process said data, there is nothing to remove since no apps are available yet afaik.

Yeah. The COVID-19 Plandemic Backdoors has been officially installed on our smartphones. The COVID-19 Plandemic Contact Tracing apps are being designed and written to completely take over our physical and online lives. So this does prove me correct about how Google and Apple at least would use the System Update features to force the Contact Tracing apps onto your phone and most likely make them mandatory to use. So far I have not been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the CT apps will literally take over your smartphone to the point you must fill out the required personal information fields and submit to the Illuminati's whims in order to be allowed to use your smartphone again.

Yeah....android....I have my mic disabled, and disabled in every app but when I'm talking to others who also have android, I find that whatever subject we're talking about shows up on my "recommended page" on youtube. I assume the other person's mic may be on by default, then android reads MY unique ID. so even if you have this Covid exposure app turned off, google will know who you are via tower triangulation....

That's what all the fakebook users say.
