Obama's Common Core History Class? Columbus was looking for a shortcut to India and China for trading. When he saw the Natives they obviously weren't Chinese, had somewhat darker skin coloring, so he called them "Indians". And rum doesn't get moldy! He called them Indians because he believed he was in India. It wasn't even until the 3rd voyage they found the continent. ANd yes, rum can putrefy.
