There was no 'O' ring on either fittings.
Going back on Sunday to hang a chandelier and install a dimmer switch,
Will bring WD 40 ( lol, about 35 yrs ago, I worked in a chemical factory and made WD-40), and see if I can buy an Oringfor the connection.

First of all if the house is natural gas and you're trying to run a propane grill you have issues, no worky. You have change out the orifices to NG.

Are you a licensed electrician or just another wanna be hack, jack of all master of none? What happens if you burn the house down or a few minutes after you leave the chandelier falls to the floor in a zillion pieces because you used channel lock on one of the links of chain and weakened it causing it to break under shear weight.

The female connector has decided to identify as a male and is in partial transition. Need major surgery to replace the female parts. Plus there might be some of the racisms involved with the black pipe.

Hanging a chandelier (weight of the one I am hanging is about 17 lbs.), the wiring is simple, 3 wire connectors, the ground wire screwed onto the grounding screw in the electrical box, the proper weight rated chain, job done.

I m self taught in several trades and ways, I may not be a master of any, however the work I undertake in whatever required fields is done to high standards.
