Anonymous Coward User ID: 76774152 United States 06/26/2020 10:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For 80 days, the US was on a long plateau of new COVID-19 confirmed cases, ~20,000/day. Then, with reopening, a surge started June 8th. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78137357 Today, surpassing the threshold of 40,000 for the first time to 43,603 cases See this chart: [link to pbs.twimg.com (secure)] It's really getting pretty much out of control now where there is nothing we can do but wait for herd immunity. That will require at least 60% of the population to become infected and develop antibodies. Unless we seal the borders, that is 60% of the entire world's population. Wrong! Bill Gates will save you !!! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78287922 No matter the threat du jour, Americans lap it up, forfeit all reason and sanity, and do what they’re told. The numbers are bogus, the threat overblown, the testing absolutely unreliable, but still the masses get in line. This is not about a virus but a global regime change. ^^^ Nailed it. ^^^ Amercans are idiots and fully-cucked losers... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76386878 United States 06/27/2020 04:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here's the deal... Quoting: SgtWalleye1 People going back to work usually have to get tested. So they go get tested and find out they are positive. They then have to figure out who they were with and if they were exposed. So they get tested....and then they have 2 friends that get tested and they have 2 friends get tested...see the pattern? Over 80% of the people testing positive are asymptomatic! They DON'T EVEN KNOW they got it. Another 18-19% of the people say they felt kinda crappy for a day or two. The people with the underlying health conditions are the ones that are getting hospitalized...the MORTALITY RATE of the virus is like .05%!!! Think about that! People need germs, we need to be exposed. The shutting down of an entire world economy for a virus with a mortality rate of less than half of 1% reeks of NWO control. Exactly. Total CONTROL by the leading Control Freaks... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78629642 Canada 06/27/2020 09:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your assessment will prove to be correct if infections and deaths continue to decrease AND we don't get a second wave. It could be the case that the virus is mutating, becoming much less lethal and possibly about as dangerous as ordinary seasonal flu. I live in Ontario, Canada, and most of the health departments (municipal or county) have been reporting no new infections or deaths for several days now, despite the fact that test numbers are increasing. The provincial government reported yesterday that the number of daily confirmed infections was just 111 - in a province of just over 14 million. This results in a crude population infection rate of just 0.000006%. Granted, these figures are skewed by the fact that not everyone in the province has been tested, but nearly 3,000,000 tests have been done since the pandemic started, so the results are approaching 'good estimate' territory. In addition, most locales are moving into Phase Two of lockdown easing, which means more people will be circulating and potentially coming into contact with one another. Phase Two means bars, restaurants and theatres will be allowed to reopen subject to certain restrictions. If the case rates don't start going up because of the easing of restrictions, and we get no more deaths, then we'll be able to go into Phase Three soon - which means things will be reopened to the extent that life will start looking more like the state of normalcy we knew before the pandemic hit. Ontarians seem to be taking the virus seriously. Whenever I go out shopping for essentials, I'm seeing more people wearing masks than not. While masks aren't 100% effective, they will at least partially reduce the risk of transmission. |
