Sahara dust storm was a big flop
I'm here in Indiana thinking welp I better stay inside because some cloud of dust filled with bacteria that's gonna kill me from all the extreme rumors about it here on GLP but nothing happened! For the last 2 days it's been clear as day, thanks for giving me a heart attack over the whole situation though.

Coming up 95 today through north FL and GA the sky reminded me of a low grade Iraqi dust storm. No blue in the sky from Daytona to Santee-Cooper.

Glad it is clear in Indiana. We are TOTALLY socked in here in Western North Carolina! You can see the sun trying to cut through but the haze is too thick! Earlier today it was a pale gray. Now it is appearing more brownish. This whole thing seems just too weird...even for 2020.

I was up on the B.R. Parkway today heading west out of Asheville. Couldn't see anything down in the valleys. Was a weird brownish color all around with dry windy condition.

I think you are too far north.
In NC if it's here. It was raining when I went into work. When i came out, my dark colored car was gray. Literally the surfaces were gray. We get tons of pollen and I have never seen that much on my car. I imagine a good bit came down with the rain. The tops of some of the mountains were varely visible it was so gray and hazy.
And there is a strange silence and energy outside. And it seems eerily quiet.
It is just weird.
I thought I had heard it was going to be worse tomorrow.
