Probably an EMP so no power. Russia and China in UN etc. Rolls of quarters won't do much. Freezers of frozen food gone. Canned food freeze dried and dried beans rice. Water filtration Wood split now to cure for winter seed storage what else can you do?  Fruit bearing plants, apples, strawberries, rhubarb, etc.. We can survive on wheat if we have to. Soak it in water overnight, eat it the next day. A few chickens would be good!
