NEW DELHI: As Indian troops remain dug in at Ladakh in a prolonged standoff with China, allies are pitching in with commitments to deliver urgently needed weapons and ammunition for the armed forces. France has promised to deliver additional Rafale jets next month, an in-service Israeli air defence system is expected soon, precision artillery rounds will be sent by the US, and Russia will make early deliveries of ammunition and weapons worth $1 billion.

This means war.

All out war.

We dont just give away weapons and munitions to show support.

Its because we have a strategic interest for india to win this battle.

Attack plans have already been drawn. With the US approval.

Yikes.

Are Russia, US, France, just profiteering here or is there an alliance being formed? Kind of an odd set of bed fellows here.

Both. Lots of money to be made and it keeps China in check. If India goes down, the rest of Asia is ripe for Chinese domination. This is a lot like the 1930s for us living in 2020. I doubt they will use nukes if they actually go war, however I always believed the next nuclear weapon used in anger would be in that region, however I expected it to be between Pakistan and India. Sadly, not much of this is being covered by the media and getting to a boiling point.

Yup

Of course so were the Communist Chinese, but the Chicoms have forgotten and over time they have come to consider us as competing antagonists.

Sometimes, we make our own enemies.

Most Americans had very little animosity toward China -- until recently.

We, on the other hand, have been China's main enemy in its war colleges for seventy years.

Most Americans -- especially since the end of the cold war were unaware we were "enemies".

Russia has quite good ties with India tbf, as for the rest, well some were done deals anyway but i would not be surprised if some message isn't being sent here..?

I doubt it would ever escalate to war but you never know with China just what they are upto. This could be just some engineered excuse to escalate when they may be looking to secure Sikkim and Nagarland etc?
Really their is no valid reason for China to need this region as it is pretty much high desert and very inhospitable and remote and it would be ridiculous to consider an invasion through it for either side but they are definitely up to something and so something to watch for sure.

China and Russia and India and Russia have had "wars" before. There is no reason to believe they won't in the future.

Russia and China and Russia and India are only friends as regards transfer of so-called advanced military technology.

Outside of their barely tested nukes, India's only hope is in the overconfidence of the Chinese, and there is a lot of that overconfidence to harvest if you recognize it.

Chinese people of extreme patriots, to the point, that they buy their own bullshit. Chinese people still think Kung Fu is a thing while the West sees it as an aerobic exercise.

India, if they can harness it, is far more practical and brutal toward an enemy. Add this to China Kung Fu wet dreams, India can put China on its ass.

Yes, it's ALL new this time.

No nukes in 62

No advanced non-nuclear weapons

No Intel via satellites or drones

Neither country had an economy in 62 to support a serious conflict.

The national leaders are very different

Info about events are immediately available

No virus and its animosities
