Because it was foreordained by God for a purpose. Dont you read the bible?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78056303

Is this a 'trust me i don't need a scripture, reply?
 Quoting: DGN

Here is the scriptural proof.

Matthew 13:10-17 New International Version (NIV)

10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”

11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’[a]

16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

However, knowing JWs like I do, it will be rejected, as JWs put the Watchtowers unbiblical doctrine over the Bible.

the only thing that kept the Gews from becoming Christians is the stumbling block of the Gospel-a refusal to acknowledge their transgressions as sinful men and to open their hearts to salvation through the redeeming grace of Christ

That and they couldn't get past the "Jesus is God in the flesh" truth.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76578598

Yeah that's a biggie.

St. John 10:33 The Hebrews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy (We don't believe you, therefore you must be a liar); and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself (THE) God.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78147998

Yes. They were acting correctly in accordance with Mosaic law.
Leviticus 24:16
 Quoting: 3643297

Jesus accused them of not believing the scriptures, was Jesus lying?

As stated they were not to think of themselves as better than others but they did, and that pride with their lusts led to their downfall.

As pointed out, just because you don't believe someone doesn't make them a liar.

God said he would become a man and well there he was and proved it but instead of investigated they relied on their feelings and decided he was worthy to be murdered. Therefore they were not acting correctly according to the scriptures.

In contrast, what I can say about Paul is that he did believe the scriptures, he didn't believe the witnesses of the scriptures fulfilled in Jesus. If Paul were on of the Pharisees to condemn Jesus to death, would he be in the same category? Yes I think so. But to condemn to death the witnesses of Jesus is he in the same category of unbelief? Yes I think so. So what's the difference? I think the difference is not that the priests witnessed Jesus first hand (because Paul has no excuse to not believe his brothers, he had every reason to believe they were keeper of the commandments of God not to bear false witnes), but because Jesus said this:

St. John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jesus just told them that WHEN he is crucified then God shall MAKE THEM KNOW that he is the Lord their God.

When that happened, they did not repent, but were fearful and remained unbelieving, denying him to the people. Paul, when he was made aware that Jesus is the Lord God repented. That's the difference.

Jesus is the strong right hand of the Holy Spirit:

Ezekiel 20:41 I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
Ezekiel 20:42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

Who did Jesus tell to 'worship' himself?
 Quoting: DGN

Jesus didn't tell anyone to worship the Father. If he did then he would be forcing worship. If he were forcing worship he may has well not have gave us free will. God Jesus is rightfully due his worship and need to command it of anyone. Please show me where Jesus told anyone to worship the Father God Holy Spirit.

Because there is no savior, there is no god and there is nothing beyond death. Just accept it, you're gonna die and you're gonna rot. The only thing that is left is your legacy. So far, you have NOTHING to show for but fanaticism and a tint of pedophilia.
 Quoting: Karens plague 73210097

You shouldn't let the slandering and lies and comments of the unbelievers to stand.

You shouldn't delete comments you don't agree with doesn't mean you shouldn't delete any comments.. and some that you disagree with you should delet, but opposing opinions and assertions from fellow believers helps get the information put and together for reasoning and rebuke and reproving and exhorting and repentance.

Would you let an unbeliever come into your house and smear crap all over the walls and do nothing to show them you're a good boy? The bible says don't even let them in unless they accept Jesus as the Lord, even God.

Not to mention all the names of God and outright claiming to be God done by Jesus and others. And although the scriptures and Jesus quoting them said we are gods, Paul reaffirms there is only 1 God, the 1 Lord, who we are ever talking about.

On GLP you have to change the J word to Hebrews (unless you are a paying member), but in real life you don't have to do that.

1 Thessalonians 2:14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Hebrews:
1 Thessalonians 2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
1 Thessalonians 2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

You know under your blue name with the gold star you can type the J word without being banned. Even as an AC with the cookies of having been logged in as a gold star member you can write it. But I'd the cookies are cleared it won't recognize your ID so you'd have to login/out again.

Re: Why did the Hebrews reject, even oppose their own savior?
One more thing I want to add..

The Hebrews had courts and judged, but the priests decided he was guilty before even going to court. They didn't want the truth to come out in court, where evidence of scriptural fulfillment could be explained, they were certain he was evil and guilty of crimes even before trial. They sought witnesses to show that the words of Jesus didn't fit their understanding, or their agreement. It was a kangaroo court.

They lusted after control, (Jesus said they seek obedience from others and not the obedience from God), and those spirits are still around today in all the churches of every denomination without exception.

Re: Why did the Hebrews reject, even oppose their own savior?
The "Hebrew Elite" convinced themselves that the prophesy of Christ would be fulfilled by one of them, or someone important in the Hebrew community.

("They") were pissed-off that God chose a peasant girl in the hick-town of Nazareth to give birth to the greatest person ever.

Pissed-off barely describes ("Their") vile rage, and hatred.

The fact that this occurred indicated that ("They") were NOT in God's favor at all.

("They") were a bunch of self-important pretenders.

Sort of like the "Elite" (Monied) degenerates that think themselves important today.

Isaiah 53:1-11 King James Version (KJV)
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Acts 2:37-38 King James Version (KJV)
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

"However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.
3Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. 4He stands in opposition and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits down in the temple of God, publicly showing himself to be a god. 5Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I used to tell you these things?
6 And now you know what is acting as a restraint, so that he will be revealed in his own due time. 7True, the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who is right now acting as a restraint is out of the way. 8Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence. 9But the lawless one’s presence is by the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and wonders 10and every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing, as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth in order that they might be saved. 11That is why God lets a deluding influence mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie, 12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness." 2Th2
