A religion is a egregore/spirit
A fan club of a sports team is as well
A political organisation is also a
Egregore.
It's like a giant bubble you can get caught in, let's say a whole city block is within one agregore and you walk into that city block, you might forget what your original goal was when you entered the "bubble".
