My vote would be to get rid of it. Gov't has done nothing but lie, deceive, steal, murder, and destroy life. The Indians are in the process of carving a competing sculpture that is splendid nearby - they have a nice “tourist trap” from which it can be seen - and do programs for the tourists like ceremonial dances - educational and entertaining and the gift shop was exceptional

The CRAZY HORSE memorial is spectacular and of a grand scale ! I hope they finish it - work is ongoing and needs donations and years to finish

This is not unexpected. I'm not exactly in favor of it since it is such an amazing work of art and engineering, but it is a completely legit complaint.

That mountain was one of their most sacred places and the US govt allowed it to be desecrated, in their eyes, and turned into a huge monument that basically memorializes their subjugation.
