Lasik eye surgery
Anyone know if its the real deal? Im 24 and my eyes are horrible. My left eye just randomly lost half its vision even with newer perscription glasses and contacts. I dont care if i gotta get it redone every 10 or 20 years i just want to be able to see normal. Can it really blind you on the first surgery? Who has some real knowledge on it? Im afraid i might go fully blind one day if i dont do something.

Best to do your worst eye first to see the results for yourself. The doctors will want to do both but doing one at a time is safer.

Check out dr Wallach on YouTube called Seeing is Believing and follow that vitamin program first.

Only get the lasik if after you try the nutrients.

Probably still have to take nutrients after the surgery to keep from drying.

Re: Lasik eye surgery
i did lasek back when i was 17 or so, and that was around 10 years ago. honestly i believe its worth it, i saw great for the past 10 years, and still do but now i can sense it starting to worsen again.

but keep in mind there are some side effects, atleast with me, they are minor but constant. i always see a halo now around lights, i dont know if its normal or not anymore now since i got so used to it. also my near sight is worse, i cant read something that is really close to my face. but thats like 3 inches away from my face, so i never use that distance anyway.

but i can imagine now that surgery is more fine tuned than before. its a very quick surgery and most good doctors have tons of experiences with it since its so fast.

anyway hope it helps

Re: Lasik eye surgery
I had Lasik in 2011. I was horribly nearsighted - blind as a bat really. So bad that they had to correct one eye for distance and the other, separately for close up vision. I lost stereo vision ability and a little depth perception - but it was so worth it. Eyes hurt afterwards & had to have someone else drive me home, but was 100% fine the next morning.

I can't imagine being in a SHTF situation being that blind without glasses, which is exactly why I had the Lasik. Now, 9 years later, I do need a tuneup but can't afford it. Like most people, I have gotten a little bit farsighted as I age. I now need drugstore reading glasses to work on the computer and read the fine print on labels, but am otherwise fine with no specs. I have a half dozen in different strengths stockpiled, in case they become hard to get or completely unavailable in the future.
'bout time to hoist that ole black flag...

Re: Lasik eye surgery
Best investment I made was lasik.
i paid $900 per eye.
5 mins, after surgery, I could see better than 20/20 vision.

My eyes got dry for about 4 months afterwards.... took eye drops... 6 months later,, perfect vision..

That was 25 years ago!
