I ask because I've heard some legitimate reasons people choose not to wear one, but also plenty of silly reasons. What's silly is requiring people to strap a piece of cloth over their face in the first place. Not only do they do nothing to protect anyone, they are bacteria traps for the wearer and can put their health at risk. I choose not to wear one because I'm not participating in rituals to entertain the sick fucks at the top and I'm not willing to strap a bacteria trap to my face. Every moran I see in a mask I feel nothing but utter disdain for...it's like wearing a sign that says "I'm a brain dead retard". |

Restaurants, bars, stores and some stadiums are private and can make those rules as a business decision since people can buy from someone else. Wearing a mask on public property cannot be mandated. But funny that these private bars and businesses weren't allowed to let their customers smoke in their businesses.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74424787 [link to dailycaller.com (secure)] They KNOW, so in Virginia, they threaten all businesses that the department of health will shut them down if they don't enforce "no mask no service" policy. Loophole. Life sucks and people are still not shopping much, because wearing a mask makes it hot, hard to see, a miserable experience. Retailers need to fight back. This is all about hurting retail sales so they can spin it as Trump's fault. When I shop I don't browse, I don't screw around, I get what I came for and GTFO as fast as possible. I always leaned that way but would browse a little bit, but now there's no browsing, no impulse buying, no wish list making. Plus, most people annoy me because they're stupid and rude. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76610079 Germany 06/30/2020 01:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thats right. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79090168 Government employees are under Admiralty/Statutory Law and Civilians are under Common Law. The Statutory governor can order mask wearing for his employees subject to statutes, codes, regulations and acts, which DO NOT apply to civilians. This means bus drivers, police, judges, court officials and Federal, State and city employees. Govt employees cannot refuse masks. Civilians can refuse masks or wear them, depending upon what The People decide. Govt is simply NOT in our Jurisdiction. If the mask violates OSHA oxygen concentration standards, government employees can. Absolute lowest oxygen concentration is 19.5 percent upon inhalation. |

I ask because I've heard some legitimate reasons people choose not to wear one, but also plenty of silly reasons. Well I personally have COPD. Masks cause me to overheat and gasp for air. I have N95 masks I use when I am woodworking and I can only wear them for a short amount of time before I have to stop what I am doing and leave my garage. Some woods are toxic and I wear the masks when I am sanding them but I can only work in short intervals before I have to quit and take a break. I say toxic and that is how they are classified but they are not poison. They cause respiratory inflammation and that is the last thing I need with COPD. Walnut and Oak actually are considered to be respiratory inflammatories...they irritate the lungs if inhaled. Ash and pine not so much. I work with exotic woods sometimes like bubinga and mahogany...they are also considered to be respiratory irritants But I cannot wear the masks for very long before I am on the verge of passing out so I have to work slowly and take lots of breaks I cannot wear a mask in public for extended periods of time Interesting times |
