Well, you posted this knowing that. What was your point?

Just posting my views. I that ok?

I just get so tired of ignorant fools posting about their love affair with violence and guns.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78248008

I think that's just fine. I just wanted to understand your point. Surely you can understand that others will not feel the same way. They have their reasons as you have yours. Is that okay too?

I would prefer a more civilized discussion of our different views, but I understand where I am posting and the agenda pushed hard here, so I expected what I got.

Not a problem. I understand the madness.

Have you never read a history book? Very thoughtful, but very dumb. History will teach you where you need to be on this very soon as our world descends into chaos.

If I may say: My niece and SIL were very against guns and having them in the house. They said the same things you did and recently, we helped arm them. We didn't ask any questions and didn't say "I told you so" to them, but it was clear something had changed with them. They reached out because I'm sure they evaluated the current situation and thought better to protect themselves and their families.

It's a pity that discussions of firearms/weapons is taken as glorification of killing instead of taken in the manner it is intended. Most discussions are viewpoints that people have because they feel their weapon(s) fit them or have features they find helpful so they do not kill anyone/anything unintentionally (including themselves). This is viewed as 'love affair' when in fact, it is no different than discussion of automobile features.

By your line of commentary, it seems you feel you have a moral high-ground of some kind. I can appreciate you feeling that way, but many of us have had to put away idealistic thoughts like this to entertain realistic real-world issues. I wish very much we could live in a world where this is not the case, but we do not.

My advice to you would be for you to not wait too late to truly entertain whether you feel being a martyr is necessary or whether you can be more effective in changing the world by being able to live. All it takes is one wacko with a perceived mission to wipe you out, your family and all you love.

This is from the RETURNED CHRIST JESUS

Realize The Power Of Thinking

Through this power of thinking, you have power over all the kingdoms of the earth. If you but know it, YOU have now, this moment, only to Think and speak the word—realizing your power, and that within your merging with God, will bring about the results—and the waiting consciousness of the invisible cells of all matter upon which your will and attention become focused—which waiting consciousness is God consciousness, remember—will begin immediately to obey and do exactly according to the image or plans you have prepared by your thinking.

FOR ALL THINGS ARE MADE BY THE WORD, AND WITHOUT THE WORD WAS NOT ANYTHING MADE THAT WAS MADE.

When you can once realize this and can know that the I 'AM Consciousness within you is ONE with the Consciousness of all animate and inanimate matter, and that Its will is one with your will, which is "MY" Will, and that all your desires are "MY" Desires, then will you begin to know and feel "ME" within, and will acknowledge the Power and Glory of Idea, which is eternally expressing Itself impersonally through you.

All you need to do is to turn within unto GOD, and let God direct your thinking and your desires in the path of goodliness (the red path). Then will your desires be fulfilled and in that change from the evil of physical manufacture you can move into the grand harmony, your world a "heaven" and yourself one with God. In that change there is no note taken of that which once appeared to be necessity for things of the physical plane of experience take their rightful place of "things to utilize" but are left when the time is come to move on into higher wonder.

When you have begun to realize this and have glimpsed somewhat of its inner meaning, then you will be prepared to grasp the real import of what follows. But first, must come the WORD so that you can align self with the "Original THINKER", Creator.

Thanks, but I have made my choice as you have. We need to feel comfortable with that and take what comes.

I am only replying in detail because of your honesty and kindness. In Truth, I don't see death as scary or a terrible ending. I'm not in a hurry to die, but it does not frighten me like many people.

I am also lucky that I no longer have to protect and defend family and loved ones around me. If I did, I may feel much different right now.

But, I believe in the motto, "Live by the sword, die by the sword". I have no desire to be part of the madness and violence spreading across the world.

If I die unarmed, I am ok with that and I sleep well at night. Better to lose my life than my very soul.

I know, I know, NO one one here understands such talk. I am a fool to them. I really don't expect them to understand. I am not like other people! And I know that. And I like that.

I have no desire to be like them and to think like other people around me. I see them as raving psychopaths to be frank.

Anyway, thank you for your kindness. I wish you all the best and I hope violence NEVER comes to you and your family.

Peace my friend.

Re: I don't own a gun and I probably never will.
I just refuse to do what everyone else is doing!

I don't want to be part of the world madness.

Even if it leads to my own death.

My choice.

Guns don't kill people. People do.
Tho I respect your choice, I must say it's a poor decision. If society goes to hell, it's suicide. If not, then you may be ok. Look around you...what do you see? Bad choice. God Speed

Sorry, I have to reply.

Being part of the world madness that now is all around us is not worth the risk to my personal life. To support and to be part of the madness and violence is an abomination of everything good and True.
