American media should be operated on something like a 4 year lottery system, where it limits their ability to propagandize and fire or hire people who do or don't agree with the politics the conglomerate supports, as is the case right now.

Every 4 years journalists should be drawn from an extensive pool of applicants and then should be randomly assigned to one of numerous independent committees which would then work together but not in tandem with each other under the conglomerate they are assigned to.

Conglomerates should be downsized and widely broken up.

Those on the individual committees, would be separate news outlets independent of each other and would source their own material and make their own content to one of the conglomerates.

Since journalists would serve term limits, the conglomerate won't be able to hire or fire anyone. Removal of a journalist should be due to health or egregious acts that violate law.

Replacements should be randomly drawn from the pool and would serve the remainder of the term only.

Something like that would make for better news content, less bias and original content.

The public should be able to vote for conglomerates the do the most accurate reporting and the top 10% who have the best journalism should be receive a severance package to award their journalist when they leave and the next round is chosen from the pool.

The conglomerates should be funded by the people, for the people instead of by single entities.
