There was one case I came across where three people got in an argument, one got in his car and backed out and almost hit one of them. The one that was almost hit pulled out a gun and claimed self defense but it did not fly for him either. The car was already passed him when he pulled the gun.

If you put yourself in front or behind a car, you deserve the darwin reward of being hit by a car. Simple. Now, if said person was on the sidewalk it would be a different story. There have been cases where people were backed into and harmed and the driver got charged and had to pay their medical bills. Do a search. I don't doubt that this is true. I'm saying it's not right and the laws need to be changed. I know it's silly to expect our elected officials to DO THEIR JOBS.
