As much as I hate to say this, the NYT was largely right in how theY characterized his speech. [ link to www.nytimes.com (secure)] His speech completely ignored the very real feelings of the people in the United States who feel marginalized. He talked about Abraham Lincoln but he needed be more like Abraham Lincoln than Rambo. He wasn’t. By not acknowledging the depth of this very real and growing anger, he’s just created more of it. This is not going away and it’s only gonna get worse. The signs demanding reparations are springing up all over New York City and that is going to be the next thing. He needed to attempt to bring people together and he failed. The message she communicated last night is the last thing in the world that will help the threats of dominance and force. He needed to show strength but more importantly he needed to show unity he needed to show that America is ONE nation under God He failed. Brace yourselves for more violence and turbulence ahead. If you hate America so much, get the fuck out.
