Easy to clean, less likely to jam, less parts. The average gun fight is 10-15 feet if I can't get u with 5 to 6 shots, I'm dead anyway. Plus with a revolver you dont leave shells behind. They are the safest. Best wishes in your decision! Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Cooper is best known[who?] for his work in pistol training, but he favored the rifle for tactical shooting. He often described the handgun as a convenient-to-carry stopgap weapon, allowing someone the opportunity to get to a rifle. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] |

Technically, revolvers are NOT pistols, as a pistol has a single chamber that is integral with the barrel. A revolver has several chambers... that revolve. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79105746 United States 07/05/2020 10:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My first pistol was a SW snubby .38sp but it was (IMO) way too inaccurate, loud and had too few shots that I'd feel safe with in an emergency. I traded it in for a SW SD9VE and it was the best decision I've ever made. Thousands of rounds pumped through this workhorse.. it was a much better choice for me. |

I hate using a conceal holster so usually I slip the problem solver (revolver) into the cargo pocket of my shorts. But if I’m wearing cool weather clothes I’ll holster up. Ultimately I prefer the semi-auto. It’s more combat capable in my mind. And more accurate for me. Plus I can put the suppressor on my auto for those late night sneak and peek missions. Not that I’ve done those in awhile but looks like I’ll need to again in the future. I got my wife a revolver because they are just dumb easy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74081298 United States 07/05/2020 12:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No semi auto is is perfect. I’d rather carry a 38 special or 357 revolver. There’s a lot of semi autos out now that are single action striker fired with very light triggers around 4-5 pounds and some come with no safety. In a semi I would carry a double action with one in the chamber. Long first trigger pull with single action follow up. |
