OK, but I have had idiots call me "boumer" many times because I didn't share their millenial opinions. I was born in 65' and I am Gen-X. We are totally different. We weren't fucking hippies. You millenials have more in common with the boumers than you realize. You're both dyed-in-the-wool leftists for the most part. We are not -- more independent-minded. |

Expecting everyone after them to give unto the b generation. The b generation killed the rest of x with the growth of abortions after roe vs Wade so they could have all the swinger parties and mindless relations that they wanted. After losing half of gen x in the womb they coddled the millenials realizing too late that life is precious and all who follow after learn from your past. There are not enough of us gen x to keep the system afloat. There are not enough gen x to buy into your retirement scams. There are not enough of us to care what happens to those before and immediately after us. |

They cared only about themselves. "Me" generation. Fuck them. No generation like the child exploders No, my parents were War Babies. They weren't boumers/child exploders. Dad was conservative, a Nixon supporter -- "silent generation". Mom, Irish-Catholic came of age when JFK became president. They called themselves the "New Frontier" generation. More of an independent now. Their parents lived through the depression and WW2 and I to this day believe they really were the greatest generation in my lifetime. One of them died when I was a baby, but I got to know the other three. My grandfather was a very good man. My grandmother's brothers, my great-uncles fought with Patton in Italy (they were Italian). They loved Patton by the way. The men of that generation were real men as far as I am concerned. Few men of the subsequent generations -- any of them -- can hold a candle to them in my opinion. |

Boumers were the generation after WWII which ended in 1945. Generations were traditionally measured in twenty year periods when people would become of age to have children themselves. Gen-X started in 1965. You must be a millenial to have such screwed up thinking. I blame public education which has been going down hill all my life. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77064358 United States 07/06/2020 05:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Generalizing, the prior generations did not teach Millennials discipline or the fulfillment and well-being that comes with productivity and achievement. They were plopped down in front of TVs and computers and left to themselves. Channels which taught them about deceit, murder, depravity. They were not inspired, they were given no hope for the future, something to work toward. They are children of 911 and do not know the kind of freedom older generations knew. They cannot afford college or to buy a home or much less buy a new car either. They went to Afghanistan and died or came home with missing limbs or broken hearts and minds. The riots we see are understandable, they grew up without a purpose. They are filling that vacuum with a warped purpose that will destroy all good that is left in the country. Maybe things will go better with Gen Z. |
