CLOWN WORLD: Boston Pushes To Make Public Transportation Free For Blacks Because ... Racism | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78442452 Australia 07/07/2020 02:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Seriously? Why not Asians? How about Hispanics? I think there may actually be more Hispanics than blacks in Boston. How do you determine that you're the "right" color for this? Is it a visual thing or do you have to go before a board for inspection? Does the driver of the bus determine that you're the "right" color not to pay? Isn't that the most blatant racism you can create in a system? Is there any place whites can live without non-whites tracking them down? Why do people leave countries with great weather to endure cold weather of Boston and white racism if they didn't have to? |

In the late 60's early 70's- I lived in the "greater Boston" area. I went to school in Boston and I worked in Boston. You don't realize how "small" Boston is geographically. I had a car - it would have cost me more than a car payment AND insurance to park in Boston. I don't don't how to "insert" a link - HEY - I'M OLD Did no one ever think to link the Kingston Trio's MTA into this tread????? Back then - EVERYONE rode the "T". I so enjoyed my commute. People WERE different. I took a bus to "Havahd Squaeh" and got the T into Boston. It really was a "kick". "We" talked and we laughed and "we" commuters "made our day - and no one "gave a shit" what color you were. We were just AMERICANS on out way to work. Someone started a thread - about missing 1978. I miss 1968 - was the world perfect - hell no - but .............. Yes - there were "things" WRONG - there always have been. BUT - ONE MORE TIME - you don't have to be poor to use the "T" -- there's NO PARKING SPACE in Boston. No - I don't live in Mass. anymore I left in 1972. |

Black seems to be any small amount of DNA. This should be used by everyone that has any semblance of black genes to get into the victim system and flood the gimme organizations. Worked in the case of Elizabeth Warren and her heritage. Quoting: RepublicofTexas Tell them you denounced your "whiteness", change your entitled and now racially identify as black. Hey, you're my time frame in Boston although you must be a bit older than me. Where are you from? I grew up in South End/Roxbury near City Hospital. It was a great area to grow up in there....at least until Ted Kennedy moved all the blacks in. I don't care about their skin color, they just are too aggressive and violent. We had all kinds of people in the South End but blacks were the main problem. We moved out to Suburbia about 20 years ago, just became too damn expensive. I've lived in Symphony Hall area, Back Bay, North End, Allston, Roslindale, etc. It was a nice small town until Kevin White tried to make it into a world class city. It sucks now. |

Linked Article: Free buses a good start for easing fare burden Which is why Council President Kim Janey hit the nail on the head when she said at a press conference this week, “Buses that go up and down through the Black and brown community need to be free.” Janey tied the push to racial justice, which dovetails with economic equity. MBTA fares have risen in recent years, and those who have little choice but to take public transportation have had to bear the burden of higher costs. The council president called for the buses on Routes 26 and 28 to be free. The 26 runs inbound from Gallivan Boulevard to Ashmont Station via Norfolk Street, and outbound from Ashmont to Gallivan via Washington Street. The 28 is a Mattapan-Ruggles run up and down Blue Hill Avenue. Councilor Michelle Wu has advocated for a free Route 28 fare for over a year, and organized demonstrations to make the T fare-free. [link to www.bostonherald.com (secure)] The linked article says the same thing. To be fair though, it doesn't explicitly say that blacks won't have to pay any bus fare just that the two bus lines that service predominantly black neighborhoods will be free. I do remember when I got my license in 1966 - being told not to drive through Roxbury. But - I guess the point is - it was such a different world - wasn't it? It was completely different. We kids stayed out and played - in an inner city neighborhood - till 10 at night in the summer. Nobody bothered us. We had no fear. There were plenty of old people on stoops to watch us. Even taxi drivers (bc we were near City Hospital) would watch out for us. No drugs at all. Drunks yes, but no drugs. Nothing was lower than a junkie. NOTHING. People would play horseshoes or other games outdoors, you knew all your neighbors. Everybody was poor, although there were some upper middle class people in the areas who eventually moved out. We went to neighborhood schools - I went to a Catholic one. We lived in a boarding house. Much of the South End was boarding houses. All kinds of people. We paid $17/month for 2 large rooms and shared the bath with other tenants on the floor. Everybody had a place to live because everyone could afford a room. THERE WERE NO HOMELESS. LITERALLY. If you were crazy, you went to the State Mental Hospital. It sucked, but we couldn't have you around attacking people on the street. We had all kinds of people in my neighborhood - white, American, Canadian, Irish, French-Canadian, Latvians!, Chinese, Greek - lot of Christian Arabs - even Gypsies. My best friends growing up were Arabic and black. When I was in high school my best friends were black and Chinese. We still had horse drawn wagons for fruits and vegetables back then. And neighborhood pharmacists. Even though we lived in the inner city, we never locked our doors until the Boston Strangler murders started happening. I can remember being on the El train and wondering if any of these guys could be the Strangler. That's when we started locking doors. It was such a different time. People have NO IDEA, it's so sad. |

Quoting: Johnny Animosity How would this be legal? Free for all or free for none. And absolutely no more government handouts/assistance for ANYBODY that disrespects our country, flag, and/or founding fathers. It seems that is the way it's going. I've noticed here in Louisiana that blacks do not have to adhere to the recent provision that everyone needs to wear a mask in public. We can be charged with a misdemeanor if we do not comply. I've seen more than one instance where black people were walking around in public - one at a courthouse. The courthouse one was the most unfair. A white woman was told to put her mask on because it's the rules- by a cop. Meanwhile, a black family slipped their mask off and spoke freely and he said nothing to them. He just ignored their blatant disregard for the rules, simply because they knew they could get away with it. They pretty much get to do as they please - with no repercussions what so ever. Everyone is too afraid of the backlash. This does not bode well. If you allow people free reign to do as they please, and hold others accountable- at some point all heck is going to break loose. |

Affirmative action goes on to hand black people undeserved jobs. Black people can shout "black power" in the middle of a crowd of people without consequence, where as if a white person speaks of white pride they are assumed to be Hitler and leftists will seek to ruin their lives. If a black person targets white people for crime, they will nearly always not be charged with a hate crime. If a white person targets black people, they will have the book thrown at them. ...and they still have the gall to say that white people are privileged. They have the sheer audacity to pretend that the world still owes them. The reality is white people are the most oppressed class in the western world. Black privilege and the ridiculous double standards need to end. Systemic racism is not holding black people down - it's just an excuse for their own failures. We are not genetically equal, and so equality of outcome should not be expected.
