Haha. Lol. It is to cut the costs associated with running a "financial center" from employee payroll?... the light bill... and #1 an attempt to severely stop the outflow of money by restricting anything that would mean taking money out of the bank. Not everything can be done online or at an ATM. |

The sudden branch closures and announcement of a $1,000 transfer limit every 24 hours starting in September are MAJOR RED FLAGS of a second impending COVID collapse. All you non-prepped people had best get all your preps in place this month. . No reason for transfer limits other than to stop an anticipated run on deposits (your money). |

There were red signs on the windows that said "We are temporarily closed". I saw six or seven dumbfounded customers in the parking lot and I went back to work. Got on Google to find an open branch and ALL OF THEM IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA HAVE SHUT DOWN. I have been banking with them for 40 years and not even an email or a call to explain what was happening. Quoting: Blown Camaro And get this... they refuse to answer when/if they will be reopening! The only email I received from them was on Sunday which stated their electronic money transfers will be limited in Sept to $1000 per 24 hours! I now have to move all of my accounts out of this bank before it is too late! welcome to Trump America |

I worked at JPM Chase Bank during the 2008 eco crisis and we didn’t even install transfer limits then. She’s about to get bumpy, folks. Hold on to your dicks. |

Plus an ATM is not an adequate substitute for a person behind the counter. Please keep in mind that what goes for BoA goes for citi, jpm, wells and all other banks. For some, likely short period of time, cash will be king. Then it goes to cash is trash. Plan accordingly |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79091044 United States 07/08/2020 08:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Big retail banks have a term for what makes their business model so Teflon: “Swimming In Deposits” Meaning that if you have enough retail checking and savings customers, then you make a lot of money off of all that money “sitting” in “your” accounts, because in reality, that money is being used to extend loans and LOC’s out to other customers to make money. A bank fun is simple, it’s when enough people come to the branches to take enough of their deposits out that the branches can’t keep up with incoming FedRes cash shipments to pay them out on demand, like you would assume they could. In reality, if you want to withdraw 100K from a bank account in cash, you’re gonna need to call ahead and probably wait a day or two for the Branch to have it on hand to be able to give, and still function...and that’s when it’s normal. When it’s a bank run, they say shit like, “transfer limits”. |

Anyone can see that "they" are using COVID-19 to implode America's banking and financial industry. Why aren't dozens of gas stations, or supermarkets, or flower shops closing because of this spike in COVID-19? They all have close contact with customers and employees. What... COVID-19 is more easily spread among bank employees? Give me a break, they aren't even being subtle at this point. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78996287 close the bank and people stop dying. right They close them to protect the employees that work there AND the customers! I don't bank with them, but my bank has closed the lobby too. Has been that way for a long, long time now. I just use the ATM if I need cash. I make my deposits using my bank's cell phone app. For purchases, you could use your debit card. Safer to just use a credit card and pay the bill using online banking. The less I have to actually visit the bank, the better. |
