Anyone with a good organic insecticide recipe to kill whiteflies? They are fucking with my tomato crop this year!

We have alot of sprout seeds that we can grow year round with florescent under cabinet bulbs in the kitchen. Alot of dried meats as well beef, turkey and salmon along with pasta and tomato paste. Wine cellar is stocked and stocked up on supplements as well. Got to stay healthy and in good physical condition to make it through this B.S., so you can hit the ground running when needed.

Diatomaceous Earth. Water well and then dust the plant and ground. Even after watering, it will leave a film. Reapply every three or four weeks.

I read in the farmers almanac that if you mix one cup of vinegar to one gallon of water and spray your plants it will work wonders for them.

If you are on a budget, start going to garage sales and auctions. You will be shocked what you find for cheap. I do some buying and selling of industrial equipment on the side, but have been also picking up preps as I find them. All my critical preps are done, this is so I have something to barter/sell that people might want if things ever go sideways. Some of my finds have included:

Food dehydrator $5
8 dozen canning jars at various sales for usually $1/dozen
Coleman lantern $1
Radio Shack Trunking Police Scanner $10
Alarm system with 4 sensors, 2 window sensors, and base $10
Complete shotgun reloading kit Lyman including shot, press, power, wads, spent shells for $60

It's out there if you are willing to do the leg work

You need to think broader. This thing will most likely go into next year (not even talking about the political stuff we will see).

While standard preps are good (food, ammo, etc.) you need to think bigger.

The supply chains may not be restocked. In fact a lot of consumer goods that are being purchased now is in fact "old stock". Has China really come back on-line?

Example: I have bad feet and need decent shoes and insoles. So I have loaded up on those in case I either can't get them (as in stock) or they can't be shipped.

See if your doctor will write a prescipt that you use for a year (and pay cash), so if there are shortages of medicine you use, you have a cushion.

ANYTHING that is needed for your comfort/health, I would consider it essential to purchase now, just in case.

Also, if you have kids or relatives, be thinking of Christmas gifts (small things like books, tools, etc.). If things get bad and shipping breaks down, at least there will be something for gifts (and it can be a real good moral booster, especially during a holiday when everything is going south)

I've used soapy water/vinegar in the past to keep other pest away, but i don't know if it will work on those flys. Sometimes wood ash keeps insects away as well.

I don't trust DE on my plants any more. Tried it one year on my squash plants and they died almost instantly (in a few days). Leaves literally shriveled and dried up. Since DE is microscopic glass shards that pierce and cut (that's how it kills bugs) I figured it did the same to my leaves on the plant causing them to lose moisture.

AC should look for other natural spray methods involving dish soap, etc...

All anyone has to have are eyes to see and a functioning brain! If you live anywhere near a dark community of any size, you are in big trouble. And, even if you don't, you have better have some survival skills because supply lines are going to be impacted, significantly! Truckers have already noted they won't be driving through/to any towns that have de-funded the police.

Wood ash might work around base of plant, but I think coating the leaves of a plant with it would disrupt photosynthesis.
