[1 Thessalonians 5:17
[17] Pray without ceasing.

Take the time this morning just to say thank you to our God and His wonderful works that He has accomplished through His Son,the Lord Jesus Christ. We pause to say Thank You God.

“See Self”
One of the most vain inventions of a cell phone is a “selfie”. We fix everything, and make sure every eye lid and eyebrows are sitting in the right place. Every mustache strand and on and on we go for this selfie.

We like to look good. The phone is more of a mirror than a talking piece. Isn’t it strange that as much as we like to glance into the glass, we don’t spend as much time looking into the” real glass” ( The perfect law of liberty)

Hearers and not doers
James 1:22-25 KJV
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
1. When we hear what to do and not do what we hear we deceive ourselves.

The heart but not a doer ( self deceit as we have read previously)

For If Any
[23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
1. You see yourself in the glass
2. You saw every flaw , every pimple or bad spot

He goeth his way
[24] For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
1. He goeth his way
2. Straightway forget what manner of man he was.
What manner of man he was.
A) The perfect law of liberty is not to see how you look
B) it is to reveal what manner of person you are.
C) it is very important for us to look into the glass not to see how we look but how we are

“See self”
1. No matter what we think of ourselves the perfect glass, the perfect law of liberty reveals all.
As much as we like to behold our vanity in the mirror we find it hard to do so with the mirror of God.

1. Spiritual snapshots are too revealing
2. There’s no way to cover the blotches
3. We can’t erase what’s there.
4. When we don’t like what we see
A) we go our way
B)straightway forget what manner of man we are and continue on.

The text says we deceive ourselves

“See Self”
[25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

1. Look into the real glass, “the perfect law of liberty “
2. Do something with what you see
A) continue therein
B) not a forgetful hearer
C) but a doer

This man shall be blessed in his deeds.
”See Self”
When we look into the glass there is only one image to see
”SELF”

Romans 7:24 KJV
[24] O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

Fight a good fight of faith!!!
Win souls for Christ!!!!

All other ground is sinking sand!"
