Been through the Adirondacks - no place remote enuf to be saved

It's bad through the Adirondacks. These people depend on Summer tourism money and so much is closed. It was sad to see people in remote areas with face masks and gloves afraid to interact with anybody.

Tupper Lake had 4th of July fireworks, and people came from all over. The people are sad, small businesses are up for sale, it's just really depressing. The only thing you can really do if you're not wealthy enuf to own a boat is hike. The hiking trails are packed but that's about the only thing that is.

Someone up there said "We're safe up here, the crazy mobs won't come up here because they know we've got guns!" Well, not so fast - you might be destroyed from within.

SARANAC LAKE is a liberal hellhole. EVERY pole in their business district has a flag that reads " Racism is a PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS!"
Whaaaat? You've got to be kidding me. I asked the lady at the Chamber of Commerce window if there was a vote or anything to put those flags up. She said "Yes, the whole board voted in favor of it!" I sighed and said "Oh, that's too bad." That's when she said "OH SO YOU SUPPORT RACISM?!!!"

Then I educated her on how different ethnicities and nationalities and cultures were accepted in America more than any other country in the world. A historic achievement thanks to the Constitution. And that I personally see no racism and thousands of interracial families and everyone's getting along just fine! She looked like she wanted to kill me. Really.

I wanted to tell her obesity was a public health crisis, and that should be more of a concern for her personally.

Saranac also full of Biden signs; and rainbow flags and decorations and LGBTQ support signs can be found throughout the mountain communities.

Haven't been there in nearly 30 years. It was sad to see what's happened to it on multiple levels.
