Funny you happen to notice this. I actually saw
One iridium flash in that exact location just below the dipper's handle and then there were 2 more flashes.
Looking like 3 ships going into Warp because after the flashes.the little space vehicles were gone.

Will be watching again tonight and report in if i see it happening again.

I should look into getting a video camera with night vision instead of just the scope.

Re: Watch the sky just left of the big dipper's handle with night vision
I busted out my dusty night vision scope the other night and was using it to watch the night sky.

I let my eyes adjust to the dark then take in the whole sky not focusing on anything. When something cought my eye i focused in on that area with the night vision.

Its a rare sight to see an actual airplane in the sky, but there's way more than usual amounts of satellite traffic.

There's 2 kinds of satellite traffic, spinning and non spinning. The spinning ones flash occasionally when a surface catches a good glint of light. Then there are the ones that stay roughly the same brightness depending on where they are reflecting light from.

But 3 nights ago with the night vision i saw something new to say the least. And it happens again each night.

A wagon train of Very small faint "satellites" heads into view from left and under the handle of the big dipper heading south. I couldn't count them but the wagon train goes on across the sky for around a half hour. Between 11 and 12 est. They run at different altitudes and distances between eachother. It honestly reminds me of the wagon train of ships from Battlestar Galactica.

I watch that area most every night. There is often activity. Many objects ts moving sometimes in irregular patterns at varying speeds and various brightness levels. Not just that quadrant but that is the main direction I observe.
There are times you will see angelic shapes streaking across the sky.
