Maybe. Seems like an innocent fishing trip. The son dying in his dad’s arms is awful. The dad knows the details but it hasn’t been given to the public.

A more plausible explanation than any other.

They're leaving something out...it's obvious...

Edit: It sounds more like they happened in on someone

doing something and they shot everyone up and took

off...not knowing if anyone was really dead they just

wanted out of there quickly before someone else came

after hearing them take these guys down.

That's more likely what happened.

The three friends beaten and shot dead on a night of fishing in Florida were not killed in a drug deal gone bad, police said Monday.

Raising the reward for information to $30,000 Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said: 'We don't seen any obvious signs of a drug deal gone bad. We still don't know why the murder occurred.'

Tillman had traveled alone to the spot, police said. His car was found facing south; the vehicle carrying Rollins and Springfield was next to it, facing north 'right in the middle of the road' suggesting they were parked 'so they could talk to each other'.

Sheriff Judd said: 'Was it something as simple as the three guys...blocked the road and made somebody mad? Or did someone follow Damion down there and shoot him and at that time Keven and Brandon drive up.'

What's scarier is that these could've been murders of "opportunity".

Usually "people of color" are not thrill killers, but never say never. Especially with all the hyped up fake racism lately, maybe the killers just took it out on these 3 poor, unlucky souls.

That said, NEVER go into the woods, as a group or alone, without some firepower in this day and age. At least take a .22 rifle with you, even if you're just fishing and don't have a pistol permit. You can always tell the cops you were hunting small game too, if they hassle you. Hunting rifles are legal in just about every state, without special permits.

Would've saved these 3 guys. Sad.

The story goes that the last victim called his father and the father raced down there...

1. Wouldn't you call the police to get them going there too just before you raced off?

The father then arrived on the scene and found his dying son but in his haste, forgot his own cell phone...

2. Why didn't he use his sons phone? You can dial 911 on any locked phone?

The father then drove off to the neareet help and then called 911

3. If your child was dying, would you leave them? I wouldn't. I'd either turn my car into an ambulance or I'd hold them till they passed.

Black people don't tend to set up ambushes, especially in rural areas.

Rival drug people set up ambushes in rural places. The brutality speaks as to the example that was made. "Don't fuck with us!"

I don't know who "Us" is but my bet is that this was business.
