It's BS that banks won't let you have YOUR MONEY. They are tightening the ability to release assets to its customers. They need to be fired as you bankers. Every bank is doing this, though. I'd suggest you pull half out and stash it around/near you house so you have quick access to it. Next, the remaining cash in the bank, either pull it and put it into a safety deposit box, for safe keeping, or arrange for you to get it quickly when things go south. Don't think about today, think of what might happen in the future. Do you want a large portion of cash in a bank where you cannot get to it? What type of new laws will be passed on how much you are allowed to withdraw in a days time. I bet it will be down to a few hundred dollars.

Cash is king. It might not be worth much if inflation goes rampant, but it is easier to toss out a Benjamin and get change than tossing down an ounce of gold and thinking you might get change back.
