And it does not look like mainland China then... Perhaps a repeat of ww2 thru the islands |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76724217 Tanks are deathtraps, when the Russian "Kornet" is around. There are so many highly-effective AT weapons that can be delivered a multitude of ways. If you're talking about the video below. That was the blowout panels activating and preventing the ammo explosion from going inside the tank. The explosion being directed up and away from the tank is a safety feature when the stored ammo is hit. The basic idea is the ammo is stored in a strong box with a weak top. Thus if the ammo is hit and cooks of it blows the top off aka the blowout panel and the explosion is directed up and away from the crew and tank. Without that panel the whole tank would go kaboom. If you watch where the missile hit it hit the back of the tank. The ammo is stored in the back of the turret. |

Abrams tanks (and Leopards and Challengers) have been through-and-through penetrated by AT weapons. Let's not even consider top-armour attacks, which invariably destroy the vehicle. |

They're all weaker on the sides rear and top. But they can also blow you pieces at close range with their numerous 50 cals or HE and canister shot. |

The announcement was in March and is almost finished. Quoting: AggregateThreat The Marine Corps will eventually divest of all three of its active tank battalions as it moves from a “second land army” back to its maritime roots of defending ships at sea, island-hopping and battling for contested coastlines, in preparation for potential conflict with near-peer adversaries such as China. “We have sufficient evidence to conclude that this capability, despite its long and honorable history in the wars of the past, is operationally unsuitable for our highest-priority challenges in the future,” Commandant Gen. David Berger wrote of the tanks in a March plan for the service’s overhaul. “Heavy ground armor capability will continue to be provided by the U.S. Army.” [link to www.stripes.com (secure)] You have a EGA but lack opsec. How quaint. |

And its not the middle east... I like where this is headed. Evil controls the ignorant... Climate change is a hoax so is the vax you have been fear-porned into compliance!
