No one at all User ID: 78958764 United States 07/31/2020 06:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Been struggling with this for years and trying different solutions. I see ppl have covered most of the typical suggestions. Here are some atypical supplements that help me, the only things that help me, actually: lithium orotate (some may need this hours before bed) l-ornithine hcl(about 1.5 hrs before bed) l-lysine holy basil high-dose niacin/niacinamide (works very well for me, but after a few days on it I end up with panic attacks. This side effect is apparently rare) Also with niacin you need to work up to larger doses, as many can't handle the flush calcium Make sure he gets plenty of lycopene in his diet. All of these can be taken together except calcium and lysine as lysine increases calcium absorption which can lead to problems. Anyway it's probably best to try one at a time to see how it affects him. Good luck |

I thought they banned Kratom ... I had read about it in the past and actually thought about it. I think I asked at the GNC store about it but at the time no luck How do you get it??? There are a number of online places to buy it and lots of local headshops sell it (at a HUGE 10X markup). It is legal in most states, I believe this is the current list of illegal states: Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington D.C. Wisconsin. My favorite vendor has started requiring people to set up an account before being allowed to see products on their site, but it is an easy setup. [link to www.smileytimeherbals.com (secure)] Another good vendor is: [link to laughinglionherbs.com (secure)] and you can check out their prices without signing in. The best price is $85/kilogram. My husband is a bigger guy (and ex-opiod user) so his dose is somewhere around 2-3 flat tablespoons. He started off with using the most popular Red Bali strain, but has since moved over to green strains. Slight different effect for each, but a seasoned user will notice. There used to be a whole subreddit (ugh) about it /r/kratom where there would be lots of good info and vendor lists, but i think they took vendor lists out. I am happy to help if you need more info. I think its a shame that they push opioids on suffering people, which, in my experience has only just lead to further suffering for the patient and then the whole family. Point being, I don't stand to gain anything here, I just want to share something that helped me & my family immensely and I hope will be of help to as many others as will find it. PLUR <3 |

It's the THC oil that you don't want to get. Although it sounds like your husband is going to need more than one aide to help him sleep. I need more than one. I take melatonin, two different kinds of muscle relaxers, and a benadryl. I also used to take CBD oil, and I would fall right to sleep after 20 mins., but I also was taking those things above. I wonder if your husband has tried a muscle relaxer at night. That it helps me to sleep is just the icing on the cake. What it helps with is my osteoarthritis. I don't get all cramped up and stiff while sleeping. It helps to keep my body limber, and I'm able to pop right out of bed in the morning. A 5 mg. flexeril is only a part of my "recipe" for a better nights sleep. Where are you getting the turmeric? Have you looked into Astaxanthin (red micro algae)?....that is kickass for keeping inflammation down, along with the turmeric. You never change things by fighting the existing reality. Anonymous Coward User ID: 58951221 United States 07/31/2020 08:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My wife would have trouble sleep and I'd warm up some safflower oil with some melted cocoa butter. Then massage her pushing the blood back towards the heart. You start with the person's feet and legs generally as the most blood is pooled there. Then massage the fingers and palms and you're supposed to flick your fingers after as negative energy is captured there. Then do their arms. Then do buttocks, hips, lower back and up to decompress the spine. Then neck and head. It's a little messy but massage their hair as it's no different than a hot oil treatment. Generally a LOT of tension is in the lower back, shoulders, neck, and scalp. They will fall fast asleep especially is soft music is playing. When someone is tense, they should let out sighs or groans to fully relax. Works like a charm. It's intimate but need not become sexual especially when a spouse is sleep deprived. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 58951221 United States 07/31/2020 08:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Many folks have bad neck tension and their cervical vertebra is locked up. Feel along the back of your neck. They should be a groove and when tense, very commonly one is out of alignment, so you rub along there and it POP back where it's supposed to be. When someone gets a "crick" in their neck, just doing that "intentionally" but carefully, sometimes they get immediate relief. It surprises them as otherwise someone might suffer for 48 hours with it and can't sleep. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 58951221 United States 07/31/2020 08:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When a guy goes to bed, he likes it cooler as he sleeps more soundly and wants to make love so he can fully relax. Ladies go take a shower trying to relax, then get in bed and start fretting over problems and so get wound up. Scented candles used routinely set a pattern that "it's relaxation time now". So like vanilla or gardenia is good for that. They generally want affection and cuddling to relax, not necessarily making love. She probably wants it warmer. It's a terrible idea to get wound up by talking about some problem right before bed. It's not the time. |

Just sit relaxed melting into the couch. Depending on the pain, maybe Gabapentin. It helps my pain some, and most definitely helps me sleep. ( Nerve pain - like nerves in face, or sciatica. ) There are certain “cocktails” of prescription and otc meds you can mix. But you have to be real careful. I have migraines and am not supposed to take any narcotics or otc headache meds. My first neuro appointment they taught me how to do this. ( If I go to ER, they always ask me what cocktail I’m using.) I won’t post Combos cuz it could be dangerous to use without a doc’s info. ( My normal doc’s jaw dropped when he learned this. Ignorant fuck. Most docs are pretty dim, unless they specialize.) . .. Last Edited by Sentio on 08/01/2020 07:56 AM |
