That typically means that your computer can't communicate with it. Check your connections to it. If it is a network printer make sure it's on the network.

I don't really know how to do that.

I've run the troubleshooter, but it just keeps telling me that it's turned off when it's not. I've restarted everything. It's connected wirelessly so I'm sure it has something to do with the connection, I just don't know where to find that info.

I'm wondering if just uninstalling/reinstalling will help.

Actually, that may not be a bad idea. Most manufacturers have great support including how to videos on their products.

Many printers go into sleep mode after non-use for a period of time, it's probably in the printers settings menu and I'm betting that is where the problem is.

You might also want to check your network settings for your home network and make sure the printer is listed there.

Go to your PCs control panel. Click on Network and Internet, and therein you'll see where you'll click for devices.

At least that's how I'd check it on mine....hf
