Elon Musk’s Neuralink Will Be Able To Stream Music Directly To Your Brain | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76658155 ![]() 08/18/2020 09:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Elon Musk claims AI will overtake humans 'in less than five years' “My assessment about why AI is overlooked by very smart people is that very smart people do not think a computer can ever be as smart as they are. And this is hubris and obviously false,” he said. "We’re headed toward a situation where AI is vastly smarter than humans and I think that time frame is less than five years from now. But that doesn’t mean that everything goes to hell in five years. It just means that things get unstable or weird." [link to www.independent.co.uk (secure)] |

Imagine a robotic limb that is powered by your thoughts to replace a vet's lost leg or something. Nerualink is a project that is developing technology to implant into your brain, eliminating the “latency issue” of pulling your smartphone from your pocket, unlocking it, and inputting commands. With Neuralink, you’d be able to do all of that simply by thinking of it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73838626 In a recent response to computer scientist Austin Howard, Elon confirmed that Neuralink’s technology would allow people to “listen to music directly from our chips.” While it’s still unclear how exactly that would work (would we still need headphones?), the claim itself is mind-boggling. With Elon Musk focusing heavily on this project over the past year, we very well could see this hardware be deployed in the not-so-distant future. But that is never the real intentions of their 'creations'. |

Imagine downloading all the information into your brain that is required to graduate with a degree in any chosen profession. This will be coming in the near future once the Neuralink is commonplace. They have also talked about the possibility of transplanting memories, so that you can feel what it is like to have a certain experience. Eventually people will forget what memories are their own and which are implanted. Bad memories will also be erased, alleviating much pain and sorrow. But how do we learn, grow and evolve to higher levels of understanding if not for experiences that cause repercussions. |

Wow, so they could transplant false memories of sins that you never committed into your brain? What about children? Could they, for instance, transplant a false memory of a same sex attraction or sexual experience? |
