Oh, and a few years ago, Kaweah Delta had so many flu patients that they literally had to stack them in tents outside. The entire parking lot was taken up by the tents.

Nearly every year during flu season they have to set up at least a few tents because they don't have enough surge capacity to treat the pneumonia.

Those hospitals simply haven't had enough funding and investment since the implementation of Obama care to keep up with community needs. Residents have been bitching for years now about how the hospital has gone downhill and you're on your own with any serious health care problems. My mom lives there and I'm there all the time, so I would know.

Kaweah Delta's been fucking empty for 5 months now. They even laid off some of their nurses in the beginning and they got other jobs and moved away so they couldn't call them back when they needed them.

The last patient I heard about in Killer Delta was a pregnant girl there to give birth. They intubated her because she tested positive for COVID, even though her O2 sat was 98%. I shit you not. Her friend showed me a picture of her fully conscious and intubated because she was there to give birth and tested positive and they wanted to ensure the infant had plenty of oxygen. She's probably dead by now.

People in California's Central Valley are now living without medical care. They won't go anywhere near the hospital. Women are giving birth at home, people are pulling out broken teeth themselves, others are just treating their own broken fingers with splints, a lick and a prayer because they aren't going anywhere near that hell hole.

Obama care put the hospital in the coffin and COVID was the last nail. They are officially third world country status now.

COVID is real. The response to it is stupid and much, much, much deadlier than the disease.
