The real question is why patreon, and not, twatter, facecrack, etc...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79201889 Probably because of the kind of membership platform and the perks bestowed on patrons who suffered loss. The plaintiffs in this case were the patrons, not the content creator. An arbitration clause inserted into Patreon’s TOS seems to have been their undoing, if I’m interpreting this right. Hope this is the beginning of lots of new strategies for lawsuits.
