Planted Fall Tomatoes This Morning.
Dozen heirloom plants I started from seeds. Four Cherokee Purples. Eight that are a mix: Brandywine, zebras, and some orange thing. About two dozen pepper plants of different varieties.

I have gotten my broccoli, cauliflower, or Brussel sprouts. I planted a two thousand square foot patch of pumpkins. Earned my breakfast, for sure.
No sane, rational person would vote for Donald Trump unless their other choices were people like Clinton, Biden, Sanders, or Romney.

I am a carpenter, a paramedic, a mechanic, an artist, an author, and a reluctant pamphleteer for our Great Nation's hoarse voice.

I don't know if I'm bipolar, but Charlie Sheen is bi-winning.

Re: Planted Fall Tomatoes This Morning.
Yay! congrats :)

This is my first year really using the great garden soil that came with my house (when I bought the they told me that the garden had been amazing), because I can work from home now. It's the first time I really ever grew anything to eat that succeeded.

I've been eating it all. I'm in Southern NJ zone 7b.

So far, radishes, peas, kirby pickles (I've eaten 2-3 kirbies every day for well over a month), zucchini, eggplant and the cherry tomatoes are coming in dribs and drabs with the big boys about to ripen.

I'm going to have watermelon out the wazoo starting next week - so excited. And some pole limas, but not a lot.

It looks like a huge deer or several napped in the corn. We might not get any corn to speak of.

Planting now:
2 types of pumpkins, carrots, turnips, cauliflower and brussel sprouts, spinach and kale.

I am taking notes and planning for next year - this year is just a trial run. I'm going to need potatoes and more legumes, and with a few adjustments and more greens, I think I can eat only out of the garden plus clams (we go clamming a lot in the summer) all summer.

Being home all day and staring at the backyard made me not want the soil it to go to waste. I started everything probably 2 weeks late, but all in all it's doing good.

Next year I'm going to do more incremental plantings, and till even more space.

As a n00b, I can already tell that eating food you grow yourself daily is the way to go. I feel amazing, and so, so proud of myself.

I'm taking pictures a few times a week and drawing little sketches with notes ... I figure this winter I can put it together in a notebook and use it to not make the same mistakes as this year when I plant next year.

I plan on planting another round of green beans and putting in cool weather crops this next week. We should have until the end of October so should be good.

Better to have a hedge against hunger than none!

Glad for you, Mr. Givins. goofy thum

Not for a Fall Garden. I'm in Zone 6 and I've got caterpillars.

My son put together a 22x48 high tunnel on wheels. I can pull it over one of my big beds with my tractor and, boom, I can grow all winter here.

Man....I hate pumpkin, except for the seeds. But it certainly is a great thing for survival. Always true: There's nothing like food when you're hungry.

Maybe I'll plant pumpkins, too. Blech. But the seeds are cool! lol.

Re: Planted Fall Tomatoes This Morning.
WAY too late to be putting in maters.

Should be in about Mother's Day.

We put ours in first of May and are still pulling Mortgage Lifters in November
