Any GLPers play or collect Warhammer 40K?
I just got back into the hobby after almost 30 years, currently building up my army for the tabletop and a few kill teams for the Kill Team version of the game.

I picked a good time to jump back in since the 9th edition just got released on 7/25/20 but I also picked a shitty time to jump back in because of Covid. The local store can’t host any game nights until the lockdowns are over so as of right now I don’t have anyone to play the game with.

Currently I’m building an Ultramarines army and planning possibly a Death Watch kill team and maybe larger army.

I have a few hundred miniatures painted, Blood Angels, Chaos Space Marine & Daemons, Elder Harlequins, Orks & even an old Genestealer Cult army from back in the day.
I would have played with 2nd edition rules so you have an idea how long ago I would have collected & painted. I still have the first edition rulebooks & the chaos books
from that time as well as 1st edition Space Hulk & its expansions. hf

I started out back in the day with the first edition Rogue Trader book and some space marines. I used to play the Space Hulk game on the original PS1 if that tells how long ago I was into it. I have the newest version of Space Hulk on PS4 it’s an absolutely beautiful game it’s a FPS but I haven’t got around to playing through it yet.

I've played Space Hulk Vengeance Of The Blood Angels & like you I still have the old Rogue Trader rule book. I have to say that the quality of the miniatures has
greatly improved since the first games & the quality of the sculptures would be a lot better now.
I have an old game from around the time of 1st edition called Space Crusade as well. I have played the pc version of Space Hulk that you have on ps4 as well.
Cool thread & if you get a chance check out some of the Horus Heresy audio books that sometimes get posted on youtube. hf

I caught the tail end of The Rogue Trader box in the mid 90’s.

Picked up ‘Nids for 2nd, and never really moved on. I can field 30-40,000 pts.

Can field a pretty decent sized cultist army too.

I’m still upset I sold my Squat army back in the day...

Have quite a bit of Warcry and Necromunda stuff too

Re: Any GLPers play or collect Warhammer 40K?
The new Primaris marine models they have now are absolutely amazing, I think they have finally gone to full on computer modeling and 3D printing to make the master molds for these is my guess. The older models were cool to but they always looked a little goofy because something was off with the body proportions.

I guess one good thing about this lockdown is I will have time to get all my models put together and painted before everything opens back up and I can go play the game.

Necromunda looks interesting, I ordered a cheap rule book from EBay to check it out. The only expansion game I have at the moment is Kill Team which is really just a small scale version of the main 40K game.

For the Emperor & for the thread. Every Warhammer 40k fan should have already seen this epic one man made animation by Mark louis Spark set during the grimdark 30k Horus Heresy.
Great thread samus79 <3. I will be back every now & again to share videos, gifs & anything else related that fans of 40k might like. hf
