Advice Needed In Dealing With An Asshole Store Clerk

So I live directly behind a grocery store. I have no car so I walk to grocery store with my own grocery cart that I bought years ago from another store closing shop. So a male clerk I call Frankenstein who works the service desk there one day tried to take my cart. He said it belongs to the store and it obviously does not as my cart is blue trimmed the stores are red trimmed. I told him it is my cart and noone is taking it. He told me that had I stolen it. I went and got a manager who just rolled his eyes and went on.

So yesterday it was raining and a friend gave me a ride to grocery store. She dropped me off and had car problems never returned to get me. I had $100 worth of groceries to get home. A lady manager came by and I asked her if I could borrow the store's cart to get my groceries home. She said yes that is fine that she knows im honest and would return when done. Yes I did return it right after I was done. So today I have my own cart and I was getting some Sprite, some meat for spaghetti and some snacks. I turn a corner and there stood Frankenstein again glaring at me with another cashier lady who asked "Did you return that cart you took yesterday?" I said "Yes and fuck you both" Then I went and found the lady manager who had given me permission to borrow the stores cart. I told her she needed to have a talk with her help as I returned that cart. She proceeeds to go tell Frankenstein that unless he has a managers badge on then he needs to shut his mouth to me. I told her thank you and left out giving the asshole a dirty look.

So I know he will give me problems again on my return. I want to choke him but then ill be arrested. Any advice on what to say or do next time? I really want to teach him a lesson. Thanks

I own a personal shopping cart that I got for about $35 at the hardware store. It doesn't look anything like a grocery store shopping cart, so no one bothers me about it. They know it's mine.

To the poster who recommended that you personalize your cart, that's a great idea. The more you can make it look like it belongs to you and not the store, the better.

Interestingly enough, almost everything sold in Panama is made in the USA.

I still have the paperwork for my shopping cart, and it was made in Clifton, New Jersey. It's also very sturdy and well made.

My cart came from another grocery store that went out of business 5 years ago. They sold all inventory including the carts. I paid $5 for it. My cart is sturdy, well made and not a problem. The issue is his actions after I made it clear the cart belonged to me. Frankenstein had no legs to stand on. He waited until I got stuck and had to borrow one of the store's carts to get my stuff home. He then lied and said that I had not brought the cart back. Which he seen me do when I brought it back to store. He was watching me.

That's honestly probably the best advice. It'll make him feel little if not responded to. I know when someone ignores me like that it makes me very self conscious. It also gets me to think about my behavior and how I could improve my social skills.

A head manager was there today. Frankenstein said not one word to me today, he did not even look my way. His lady friend opened a register but head manager came over to register to check me out. He was super nice to me. No issues today.

I can't tell if Frankenstein is just a complete dumbass that actually believes you stole their cart of it he's a complete jackass. Does it feel like he's antagonizing you on purpose, OP? Or does he have that dumb glazed over look in his eyes like he can't put 2 and 2 together?

couldn't you simply chain up YOUR CART outside the store and use theirs while shopping ?

Does he have a good view of his scooter while he's at work? If it's obscured from him, you could call a towing company and get that shit hauled off somewhere haha.
