People who get the flu vaccine are 36% more likely to get other upper respiratory infections.  The majority of people who get flu vaccines are older, who have a higher risk of getting upper respiratory infections. "For the 2017-18 season, flu vaccination coverage increased with age, from 26.9% among adults 18-49 years to 59.6% among adults ≥65 years (Figure 2)."
