McCarthy was right.
He successfully identified at least 2,000 communist spies according to later declassified Russian documents.

McCarthy was set up as a release valve, because Americans were getting hip to the commie trip. Roosevelt was a Commie and everyone knew it. Roosevelt used to joke about it, thought it was funny.

But Americans were getting fed up and they knew that they were being infiltrated.

McCarthy was brought in by "you know who" and was counseled by Roy Cohn, yes, that same Roy Cohn.

They had the "Committee on Un-American Activities" and nailed about a dozen or so perps from Hollywood, the most notable being Dalton Trumbo and Paul Robeson. Sean Penn's father also got nailed and blacklisted. Penn is both a red diaper baby and a spy.

McCarthy was just getting rolling and wanted to nail some real whales. He was believing that he was actually in control, when he wasn't.

They shut him and the Kefauver committee down.

Then, they went after McCarthy and began to denigrate his character.

He was a shell of a person when it was all said and done.

Now they had exposed communism in Hollywood, blacklisted a few pawns, made a mockery out of McCarthy, and then began a propaganda program that anyone who believed in commie infiltration was a paranoid whack job, and look at what happened to good ole Joe.

The American people got a few unimportant scalps, and we could all rest easy again.

I suggest you read Anthony Sutton's work about the Kama River Truck plant in the USSR funded and built by Americans.

The Old Money Families built up the USSR in order to create a fake cold war ( Which would be necessary in order to create a super powerful military that will be used to enforce the future NEW WORLD ORDER).

Truth be told it's likely along the lines that McCarthy was an unwitting stooge to bring the Red scare to a head so it could be publicly crushed, humiliated and silenced. Thereafter garnering safety and sympathy rather than scorn so those in the future could surreptitiously preach communism as a viable untested alternative for many years to come. There is certainly no argument that isn't exactly what came to pass.

Think about it, all the puppetmasters need is the right power-hungry, anti-commie, cornball political stooge. Back him early on, leak accurate intel to him which gets him major attention. Setting him up for the fall once notoriety has peaked taking him down while in the inevitable power crazed phase.

Again, McCarthy was right about Reds, just may not have been right about his actual role
