Why not 30? Or 50? 10? Or 100?

Why 33?

What is he telling us?

The Bible is indeed the greatest story ever told. If only we had 20/20 vision. (Or 32/33 vision ;))

When we transmute from 32 to 33 (which we all eventually do as mortals), will our form not change from physical to _____, while our essence persists?

 Quoting: THNKuCLLR

Don't think your hint has much relevance.

My guess is this: he decided that 0° should be about as cold as things get in January, and 100° should be about as hot as things get in July. Those were the two milestones around which he scaled the range.

On the other hand, Mr. Celsius chose two important qualities involving water to define his range.
