Cases absolute number is kinda irrelevant for several reasons. What matters is deaths-to-cases ratio, hospitalisations-to-cases ratio... the ratio removes the some of the biases inherent in the sampling. BUT the ratio does not remove the age-structure of the people in the study. That is much more relevant. And we will never know. Cases in themselves absolutely matter. The case number is a point in time, not and end story, with an unknown percentage likely to end up in hospital and possibly die. Or, end up with long haul. |

Detection rates, vaccine possibly making symptoms so mild that infectees$ You have to compare like with like. When one reaches hospital, the chance of death is one (reasobable) like-for-like. That goes monotonously UP the more vaccine is used. We'd need the age profiles to really ufold it though. FACT: Death rate for those hospitalised is HIGHER if you're double-vaxxed. |
