The US is in for a very big shock in the next few weeks.

If only it were as simple as saying the covid deaths/hospitalizations is nearly all due to obesity. Don't get me wrong, having obesity is not going to do any favors for someone who has covid, but there has to be more to it than just obesity.


I'm glad you posted the chart, it helps to visualize. But taking a look at the graph the correlation is rather weak. The plots are scattered such that there's many countries positioned in the lower right quadrant. Basically while the deaths did increase substantially in some countries with high obesity, this was far from the case in all countries.

If obesity played a defining role in most covid cases then the graph's pattern would surely look something more like this: diagonal

A lot of these countries that have high numbers of people with BMI >25 (high obesity) would also be richer countries that are able to afford to feed their people more (generally speaking). These richer countries with their healthcare are able to support an older population too. It is these older people that are making up most of those deaths in these countries, regardless of the country's levels of obesity.

I've generally stayed away from the talk of prophylactics and the effectiveness HCQ and Invermectin. People seem to get very het up over it.

I cottoned on a couple of weeks ago to a conversation between doctors that they are being hounded by drugs reps hawking Invermectic as a wonder cure.

My instinct is that all the talk of this being a wonder drug to treat Covid is a co-ordinated campaign perpetuated by manufacturers and salesmen as an opportunity to make a quick buck.

Pretty much just ambulance chasing and its been highly successful even if the drug may not be.

Thanks, all...as of last night, he was feeling worse...mother-in-law says she is doing her best to keep him in bed...she still has no symptoms...hoping he will go and get tested, but he is still clinging to the idea that he is "protected" and this isn't COVID...

Yep...they are moving so often, put wheels on them so you can just roll em around...work smarter not harder...

This is where things become truly terrifying...when people literally become walking petri dish mutation machines...no bueno...

What makes my skin crawl is Mississippi. Look at it! It's red! The governor of that state declared "Covid-19 is over". The topmost NW county is Desoto County and my house is 15 minutes away on Interstate 55.

I see plates from MS all day long in Tennessee. We all understand that a large portion of our numbers come from commuters from MS.

A fake vaccine ring(or a ring pushing fake vaccines) was busted. Chinese nationals allegedly involved. So we are led to believe the demand is so high that bootleg/fake vaccines can actually support a black market. Part of the propaganda to gaslight people into believing that the "cure" is really, really in demand.

DAILY TELEGRAPH....Early data from an Oxford University study suggest that the AstraZeneca vaccine is effective against the P1 variant, according to the Reuters news agency.

This indicates that the vaccine will not need to be modified in order to protect against the variant, which is thought to have originated in Manaus in the Amazon.

They found the missing P1 case and it’s all ok....

The third case in England - the person who has now been found - was not linked.

Their location has not yet been released, but the search for them had been narrowed to 379 households in south-east England.

Earlier this week, preliminary data from Manaus - the Brazilian city hit hard by this P.1 variant - suggested the variant could be up to twice as transmissible as earlier Covid.

But experts said this should not be used to predict what might happen in the UK.

One of the lead researchers said it was unlikely P.1 would quickly take off in Britain when only six cases had been identified and these were being closely monitored.
