For the past 18 months, I've been running "wide open" - the virus be dammed. If I can't travel, if I can't visit friends and family, if I can't eat out or shop in person or go to a park, then let the virus take me down. It's a true wonder I haven't gotten infected. Or maybe I have and the stupid test didn't pick up on it. In fact, although I've been vaxxed, I still want to pick up natural immunity before it wears off completely. I'll be going to Florida this weekend, and I'll be mixing it up with my unvaxxed in-laws. Might hit the sports bar for one of the big games. Oh yeah, gotta stop at the Buc-ees - that's a no-mask zone if there ever was one. I'm gonna get this, come hell or high water. Then, at last, I'll be able to fight this virus on MY terms. Nobody else's. Except you may not be able to fight it off on your own. We have a friend who swore natural immunity will suffice. He has had to go for treatments, is on the roller coaster better one week, not the next and he needs home oxygen. Your terms may require the availability of HCW's in which case, it will be on their terms of they have staff to help you. |

I already question the study because the sample only includes April 4–July 17, 2021. Most of the breakthrough cases, at least reported and still being reported have occurred mostly after this date.
