Dont try to protect your house. Just let anybody come knocking at your door at 2 in the morning. JUST COMPLY OR DIE. Knocking on someones door at 2:am is not illegal. Brandishing a firearm on public property (in the hallway) is. Do it in front of officers coming to investigate a possible domestic abuse situation and you might get shot over it. I hate how it turned out, and I think training by both could have prevented it. But the victim broke the law and was seen as an imminent threat with deadly force and intention (or why would it not be holstered) to use it. That observation was correct. It's a shame the victim didn't have time to explain himself, but when you brandish deadly force on public property time to explain yourself isn't guaranteed by US law, or the Constitution. Apparently you don't know shit about what's legal Reading your posts already rang my stockholm pussy alert You lick and you lick up and you kick down And you SUCK I bet you swallow too Well you're obviously a well educated lawyer, so why don't you point out where I've been legally inaccurate? I don't blame the cops either, they have their own children that they need to go home to at the end of their shift. Personally, I don't see how that is the complaining neighbor's fault. Anonymous Coward User ID: 56514037 United States 08/08/2020 01:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After any shooting incident all cops involved should be immediately drug tested. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9073453 If they truly serve their community, and you know they already get two weeks paid time off after this, it would be logical for them to submit to voluntarily receive drug and psychological testing while remaining under observation. The community must be reassured they don't have a trigger happy madman roaming freely among them. The thing most important, The Jury and NOT A JUDGE, shall decide if The People require charges be brought against the officer in question. If can all happen within the two week observation period! This would stay true to the spirit of a government that's at it's core, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, AND OF THE PEOPLE I hope some political types with influence or potential are listening to me here. Because this will end in revolution if we don't update our system to truly reflect the Spirit of Truth and Freedom! If we value Good over Evil, let's shine that light for the whole world to see! I want to also point out that no cop is gonna want to be under observation in a hospital/psychological review place. It won't be fun, they'll still get paid, but it will deter them from shooting people that they don't have to, and it will also be seen as a reassurance to the community that they have The People's best interest at heart. Self sacrifice and service, if they're in it for any other reason then they shouldn't be law enforcement officers! |

It is a lie that he pulled a gun on them as it was already pulled when he answered the door. He never pointed it at them. It was pointed at the ground and he dropped to his knee with his left hand out and dropped the gun on the ground with his other hand. Cop in front never shot. Why would that be? Cop in front of him didn't see the gun as it was behind the dead man. Cop in back could see the gun and that split second of bravado from the video game superhero got him killt. Cop in front clearly backed away and scooched towards the wall. It's sad that the cop that shot him in the back is even allowed to be a cop. And they stick together like gang members and that's another problem. He lied for his buddy in his account of events like they all do. Luckily in this case there is very good video evidence with audio. I doubt any charges will be filed and if they are I don't think they'll stick. The law is the law. Unfortunately in this case the victim wasn't familiar with the law. TRAIN People. Get professional instruction about good decision making while in possession of deadly force. |

The problem is since 911 the POLICIES of using deadly force against citizens have greatly exceeded lawful authority.
