But yet... Notice how we don't riot? Notice that, black people? Neighbor needs to be doxed. I dont fully blame the cops. Neighbor is at least half to blame here. Maybe they shouldn't have been so noisy. Just a thought. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76422031 United States 08/08/2020 01:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76422031 You can be in your home with a firearm in your hand. Just not in a public hallway taking an offensive posture toward law enforcement officials with an unholstered firearm. The hallway IS NOT PUBLIC, it is on PRIVATE PROPERTY. Idiot No, I apologize but that isn't accurate. I could occupy that hallway and just as much legal right to do so as the anyone who lives there, the officers, a salesman, or anyone else. The hallway in an apartment complex is PRIVATELY OWNED, the whole building is. When the police entered that building they entered the dead mans rented property, the hallway being a part of it he is legally allowed to occupy. The difference between him and a "salesman" is no one can tell him to get off the property. He is legally allowed to occupy the space. He is NOT legally allowed to brandish a firearm in the presence of law enforcement officials. I'm surprised how hard this is to get across. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78506831 United States 08/08/2020 01:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76422031 I hope that isn't a lawyer. If it is I wouldn't hire him. He didn't put his "hands" up. He put ONE hand up, that wasn't the one holding the weapon. He should have dropped that weapon, and showed the cops his shoulder blades with his hands are far away from the weapon as possible. He wasn't on his property. The hallway is public property. He wasn't "answering his door", or he would have been inside. Look at his feet. He didn't just "open the door". He jumped out into the hallway. Again, look at his feet and body movements. He displays aggression. "Exited the apartment" is where he messed up. If he just would have stayed inside and not jumped out into the hallway he would probably still be alive. RIP bro. I hope a lot of learning and training comes from this situation. how do you get away with spam? Mostly by posting legally accurate information (what you've called "spam") I suppose. Anonymous Coward User ID: 79058946 United States 08/08/2020 01:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The way you determine whether or not these shootings are lawful is ask yourself this, if you had done the same thing the cops did would you be arrested and charged with homicide. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79240841 The problem is since 911 the POLICIES of using deadly force against citizens have greatly exceeded lawful authority. Anonymous Coward User ID: 79240841 United States 08/08/2020 01:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Technically if you want to get that way, the police were on the dead mans private property when they shot him for a completely legal activity of using a firearm to defend his property and life. You can't just shoot a guy for holding a gun on his own property, ALL of these cases need to be tried for murder. Remember the black lady shot through her window in Ft Worth? Cop tried that "but she had a gun" shit and got charged with murder because the people would have burned Ft Worth to the ground if they didnt |
