Texas already extended it. I had no lag between payments. I am a substitute and have been collecting since April. Schools here return Aug. 19 and the subs received the standard reasonable assurance of employment at the end of the last school year. We have heard nothing else. I only sub because it's convenient and puts me on my daughter's schedule. If there are lots of covid restrictions, I'm going to do something else.

Being able to "post while traveling" is rather simple actually. You make it sound like we're circumnavigating the earth...when in reality, the only traveling we've done from the original post I made was about a 2 hour drive from one hotel with wi-fi to another. In regards to cell use...yeah, I've posted from my phone from time to time...BUT, as stated in the thread, I'm required to travel with my laptop for processing work orders for Edison (yes, even while on vacation). Obtaining a connection is simple when you've got both A) available wi-fi and B) a portable VEE PEE EN and access to a secured private corporate router/server system.

This is not going to work. States will have to create whole new programs to administer it. They would be similar to the agencies created after major hurricanes to dispense Fema funds. It will take months to get that in place. I suppose it is a political move so he can shift blame to the states as well as Congress. Where, pray tell are you hearing this?!I'm in Texas as well and didn't know they extended anything. I went TWC.COM but I haven't seen or heard anything about our state extending unemployment benefits. I'm literally on my last few dollars of unemployment money when I file this coming Wednesday.

My last deposit was for 1 week of the federal money and 2 weeks of the state funds. This was for the period ending 7/31.

My state does not cover theater contract worker...so all we had was the 600.
400 x 4.5 not so good while we are told to sit on hold waiting to go back to work.

My last deposit was for weeks of the 18th and the 25th of July. I recieved the additional 600 for both weeks. I'm now down to 35 buck left in my unemployment. So what will I be getting since they extended it here? I looked it up and what you said was true I guess I just dont understand the math.

Don;t count on Trump's political ploy. He has no authority to create the funding to cover his EO which requires Federal benefits of $300/week and he has no authority for the $100/week that his EO says the States must pay.

It's interesting watching the disinfo on the executive orders spread from website to website. Apparently no one bothered to actually read them. The $400 isn't extended. The order urges governors to ask FEMA for more money left over from the CARES act and the governors can choose to disburse it, if they want. Or they can use it to plug other holes in their accounting. Essentially what the EO does is a $50 billion back door bailout of the states and you might see some of it, if your governor decides to share.

Mine was extended. My filing day on TWC is Wednesday. It said that I had no more benefits remaining. I filed anyway and got the email that there was an upcoming deposit. On Friday, I received a payment that no longer had the extra $600. I believe it was $300 plus regular unemployment. The statement said I have several weeks of money remaining so it must have been extended. I have never been able to claim as a substitute before and I have no idea about how it is supposed to work in Texas but that is what I experienced.

Lots of people are starting to run out or getting close. Don't worry though. Trump included a 13 week extension in the CARES Act. Many governors have put in their own 13 week or 20 week extensions, and this EO gives a 20 week boost. When your current one runs out, one of the extensions will kick in. When that runs out, the other extensions will (if you're in a state that gave an extension).
