It does feel staged.
I'm betting they are putting this dramatization out as a test of the publicd reaction. To see if they tolerate this level of tyranny and are ok with it, or fight it.
Then plan and move ahead accordingly.
I'm betting most folks will justify it. Or stay quiet and allow it.
And the rest of us will just have to put up with it.
