Re: Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
Got some red Kratom last night. They are 500 mg capsules. Took one to make sure I didn't have a reaction to it - learned to always start small with a new herb.

Today I have had 4 so far. Not seeing a great deal of pain benefit from it. With the last 2, took 5 ibuprofen and seems to be helping a tiny bit. The only pain meds I have left is MS contin and I don't want to use unless pain is 9-10, which it does hit. Worst pain was childbirth, that was 11 (which literally ripped my sideways, forward and back - it should have been a C-section......idiots almost killed us both).

Should I be taking maybe 4 at a time? Anyone know.

Trying to bake and have a good Christmas but low back pain is horrific.

Re: Kratom for pain relief? Help needed please
Hey yall, I am trying to find natural supplements to help my husband with his back pain re: bulging and herniated discs from his L5 to his C3, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and disc degeneration. He hasn't had problems in years and just recently due to his workload and physical demands around the house, is now in pain again.

I want to see if kratom will work for him and would really appreciate any help, input, experience, etc from those of you who have personal experience with it in regard to similar pain and injury that he is having. He would need something he can use at work without being sleepy or groggy.

Unfortunately we live in one of the few states where it's schedule 1 so I can't order samples or have anything shipped here, but the state line is a short drive. We will be vacationing there soon and can pick some up to try.

Can you recommend any gas station or head shop brands that are decent? I wanted to get some different kinds to try and see which works best for him before purchasing a larger amount.

Thanks

It is about the equivalent of loratab and all of us use it.
You need to order it bulk or pay $1 capsule.
Have it sent to your cousin and have them mail it to you. Many do.
Enjoy!

Yeah well you take morphine continuous release and think low dose kratom is going to work?
Its the equivalent of loratab??

I take the powder. 10 years ago i took a leveled off tsp. Now it is a rounded one. I also take turmeric with it to make it stronger.

Maybe you are not taking enough or it just won't be sufficient for you.

People eating pot need to bake it on foil 20 minutes at 200 degrees so it changes color, then be careful as it will be much stronger.
Decarboxylation makes it absorbable to eat and its too strong for some people that way.

Kratom is a great pain reliever in moderation

Bit it is also highly addictive

Among other things it contains an opioid, which can lead to physical withdrawals such as insomnia, irritability, sweating, fatigue. It is hell.

Better to consult a physician imho. One who specializes in pain medication.

I have been using it for years for severe back and joint pain. It works great for me. I take 4, 00 size gel caps I fill myself from bulk. It is inexpensive.

I have never had withdrawals or found it addicting but I do not abuse it, I use it in moderation. Most people say red vein works best for pain, I like the white vein best.

Nope you misunderstood. I don't take the morphine, maybe twice a year at the most. I am out of hydrocodone which is what I usually use but low dosing as I don't want addicted. Try getting a doctor to give you pain pills in this messed up world. I was getting shots in my back before the mess started and they were going to do radio frequency ablation which mostly kills the tiny nerves for 1-3 years before they grow back.

When you bake pot, you mean just the buds? Daughter said she was going to try that for her Lupus but didn't think it would really work, that it was false info.

Turmeric, I will have to add that. Have about 5 lbs of that stuff. Just haven't been using it much recently. Gets tiring using all the herbals.

I got the red. Then I read that white also is best as it works better without sedation.

None of it sedates me, maybe just me or just that I only take low doses. It does not make me high or woosy, just kills the pain so I can move and gives me a good boost of energy to get things done fast.

"Kratom can cause effects similar to both opioids and stimulants. Two compounds in kratom leaves, mitragynine and 7-α-hydroxymitragynine, interact with opioid receptors in the brain, producing sedation, pleasure, and decreased pain, especially when users consume large amounts of the plant."

meaning It literally binds to the opioid receptors..
its an opioid.. stop falling for traps in order to cope

In order to cope?

You mean just accept a life filled with pain and a low quality life too?
