Quite a disgusting piece of work, aren't you? You will have quite a surprise when you try your plan. It's good, though, because we will be getting rid of all of you right at the start, so the world is cleaner and more livable.

I'm a defense contractor working for the Army, have an office with a cot and a storage building full of MREs and water. When shit hits the fan, I'll make my way quietly to the base and set up for the duration.

Good plan! Except for the MREs - by all means get a good stock of OTC indigestion meds, and vitamins. Eating those you may never poop again without OTC helps. They are not actually adequate for long-term diet, thus the need for vitamins. Otherwise you are in better shape than much of the population! Well done!

You don't just keel over & die (unless you're talkin' suicide)...something has to kill you...and it usually involves alot of suffering.

I'll pass on the brutal suffering of starvation and prep.

What a blessing that we do not control anyone's life, that we are not responsible for their choices, that we cannot make them do right or wrong.

The only way to prepare is to have stacks of gold and silver bullion. That will be the money of last resort when the US dollar fails. You should have been preparing since 2009 when the Great Depression actually began. It is very late in the game. We are all sitting on doomsday's doorstep. The crash will take place in October of this year. Get your bullion coins while you can. Do not plan to get out of Dodge -it is too late for that. Hunker down where you are right now. Get to know your neighbors. Make friends. Lone wolves will not survive.

Stock up on food.
Get prepared for power failures.
Check out all the survivalist and prepper sites
But above all keep your cool and hang onto your sanity.
Look beyond the event horizon
Don't worry about the election - it doesn't matter who "wins"
Everyone will be a loser who doesn't follow these steps.

Get started NOW if you haven't.

Ignore anyone in your family who thinks you're crazy. Explain that even if the economy doesn't collapse, it's still best to be prepared for anything, like acclimate weather, earthquake, whatever. If they don't understand, just ask them to let you do it to make yourself feel better. Prepping isn't a waste of resources. You will likely use up what you have eventually, emergency or not.

It does seem like every couple of generations have some sort of event for which they wish they were prepared.

Do not give in to despair. Don't give up. Don't compromise.

I was told to tell everyone to prepare by the end of this month... there was a 7 week warning in earlier in July from several people on this world..

It was suggested to store enough for thru the end of October AT LEASTE. Things run on celetial time which sometimes happens sooner and some time later.

99.99999999999999999999999999% of the people on this world cannot kill for their food. There are not enough squirrels and crows around where I live to feed even one person.

And as often as you can. There are many YT videos on how to begin prepping. Check 'em out. Do what you can and do it immediately.

Hope you have stocked a good collection of heirloom seeds, because we will have to grow our own, and should be doing so now. Check out the Kratky method of hydroponics. You can grow in your home, no wiring or plumbing or any difficulty. Just get buckets, free or cheaply available. Gardening will be required of all of us to have a decent diet.

Yep, survival isn't bought. It is adaptation and knowledge. I haven't bought anything, but spent years learning skills, about nature, and how to overcome.

We have fish, wild boar, bears, snakes, rabbits... And found a spring in the mountains.

You are right - ideally longterm preparation is best. Getting through the first few months of everyone panicking is what I'm mostly worried about though. I don't think this is going to be the doom event it feels like it will be. I hope not anyway! I really do think that after the first few months, things will be manageable. We probably won't see life return to being as easy as we've had in our lifetime.
