Postal carriers union endorses Biden, warns that 'survival' of USPS is at stake | |

"Vice President Biden is — was — and will continue to be — a fierce ally and defender of the United States Postal Service (USPS), letter carriers, and our fellow postal brothers and sisters," NALC president Fredric Rolando said in a statement that also praised Democratic vice presidential pick Kamala Harris. "Together, Biden and Harris fully exhibit the experience, dedication, thoughtfulness and steady hands that will work to ensure that letter carriers and working families are put first," he said. The endorsement comes less than three months before Election Day and a day after President Donald Trump said he opposes Postal Service funding pushed by Democrats, noting that those resources were necessary to advance the cause of mail-in voting during the coronavirus pandemic. Plus if there are 300K union members delivering I can guarantee you that there are 600K mail men who are NOT members of that union. Fill out the ballots for the candidate of your choice and drop off at voting place. People that had their ballot stolen will have to vote in person on Election Day. |

It would have been over 1M." Actually, because of automation the number of USPS has decreased. There were 470,000 at the end of 2019. And there are 3 unions for employees. The 300,000 backing Biden is the city carrier union. I do not know who the other 2 unions are backing, but I can tell you that the one backing Biden is the largest union of them all and most city carriers belong to it. |
